Wines from Bordeaux

Bordeaux without a doubt remains the world’s most important wine region. There are the famous First growth Estates that can make wines of breathtaking quality with prices to match ! (Mouton-Rothschild, Margaux, Latour…). Although Bordeaux is home of 2 key grapes that you all know, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot, wines are so different from the ones produced in Napa.

Bordeaux wine gains its unique character and flavor profile from a combination of the grapes planted, the climate and the specific soils of the area. 60 appellations, each of them is unique with their own terroir.

With 5 to 6 wines to taste from the right bank of Bordeaux, we will try to identify the charcateristics of the most important villages : Pomerol, Saint-Emilion, Côte de Bourg, Côte de Blaye…
