Beaujolais Wines with culinary specialities from Lyon
Lyonnais gastronomy is part of the traditions and popular culture of the city. Home of the worldwide famous chef Paul Bocuse, Lyon has a countless number of restaurants serving its iconic specialties: brioche sausage, quenelles au brochet with its famous Nantua sauce, sweet and creamy Saint-Marcellin and the famous flat and crisp yellow donets called the Bugnes
What can we pair with such a rich and savory food? Beaujolais! Forget about the bad reputation of Beaujolais Nouveau. That was 20 years ago, things have changed! Beaujolais is on the up and is an essential wine. The region is very attractive to young and innovative young winemakers who produce juicy red wines with bright red fruit flavors made of Gamay grape. Light and soft Saint-Amour, robust and powerful Julienas, the intensity of Moulin à Vent, the “king” of Beaujolais …. Let’s give it a taste!
What you will learn during the tasting
Professional but not intimidating, Géraldine’s classes promise a better understanding of the world of wine
Wine Tasting techniques: how to taste wine properly- the 3 “s” rule: See, Smell, Sip. The useful vocabulary to describe wines

…. and, of course, the most important: share quality wine tasting experiences in an enjoyable, educational, yet social setting!
